Colleen Hooper creates interdisciplinary experiences for the theatrical stage and site-specific settings. She combines dance with aspects of theater, original music, and visual design to make performance that is movement based and theatrically rich.

The Queens Ledger said her work had a,“...delicious sense of play and imagination...” and OffOffOff.com said she, “skillfully negotiat[ed] an ambiguous division between funny and blunt.” Her projects spring from a collaborative creative process with performers that responds to their physical environment and personal experiences. Through lush physicality and character development, these performances highlight the vulnerable aspects of being human.
